DuPont™ KEVLAR®


75% polyamide, 15% aramid (Kevlar®) 10% elastane Kevlar®, an aramid fibre-based yarn is unbeatably tear and wear resistant, and is also lightweight. Fabrics made of Kevlar® are therefore used everywhere where garments need to be durable. The synthetic fibre is used amongst things in aircraft construction, bulletproof vests and protectors.

Kevlar fabrics do not burn and have a decomposition temperature of approx. 430 °C.
